Budget Cosmetic Brand – Lakme Absolute

May 24, 2014

Hi people,

How are you doing? I hope you all are prepared for heavy rains from next month. I will be shopping for rainy sandals and umbrella after two weeks hence will keep you posted about my purchases and best deals during rains.

I had visited Lakme counter at Shopper’s stop to check out Lakme absolute gel nail paint. The gel nail paint costs Rs.400.It is expensive due to its thick and shiny texture and it lasts long on nails.

I was attracted to 9 to 5 Lakme long wear light pink shade. The cost is Rs. 200 and its worth because of its perfect color for office wear. They have variety of neutral shades.

I was very curious to look at the Lakme eye conic white Kajal pencil as to how it looks on the eyes. The sales girl at the counter gave me useful tips to apply the white kajal along with black liner for a perfect evening look and how white pencil liner can be used to smudge it with the black eye shadow to give a stunning smoky eye look. Cost of Lakme eye conic white kajal pencil is Rs.400 and it’s only worth buying if you love experimenting on eyes lids.

I picked up a neutral shade Lakme 9 to 5 lipsticks for everyday use. As I am dusky in complexion, I always faced difficulty selecting a nude color for my lips. I tried various brands, but I got a perfect nude shade (Red chaos) for my lips in Lakme. It has matt and buttery texture and stays for at least 4-5 hours; it is affordable (Rs.400) for any chick that spends decent on lipsticks.

I also bought Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate worth Rs. 700. I always look for black kohl which appears to be very dark, waterproof and stays long. When I applied Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate, I loved its moist texture and jet black shade. It got a smudger at other end of the pencil, to create smoky look. I am applying it daily, and trust me it really stays for long and it’s suitable for those who look for jet black kajal pencil.

The sales girl cleansed my eyelids and lips with Lakme Absolute Bi-Phased Makeup remover after I had selected the products to purchase. I really liked the non greasy and light component in the remover which removed the liner in 3 swipes. It has oil and water component, hence you need to shake the bottle before use. I am using this product, and fortunately it never caused any breakouts on my skin. Once you remove the makeup with this product, make sure you wash the face with face wash as it leaves a thin white film behind. This product is affordable (Rs.210 for 60ml) and removes the makeup effectively.

I would love to know your feedback if you have used this products..
